- मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय या समकक्ष से मैकेनिकल या उत्पादन या विद्युत संयंत्र या धातु विज्ञान इंजीनियरी में डिग्री और
- वाष्पयंत्रों के डिजाइन, संनिमार्ण, उत्कीर्ण, प्रचालन, परीक्षण, मरम्मत, अनुरक्षण या निरीक्षण में या वाष्पयंत्र अधिनियम 1923 (क्रमांक 5 सन् 1923) और उसके अधीन विरचित नियमों और विनियमों के कार्यान्वयन में तकनीकी कार्मिक के रूप में दो वर्ष का अनुभव।
