The high court, a residential complex for judges and attorneys chambers, will be built on a 165-acre plot of land that has been awarded next to the HEC Industrial Complex. Around Rs. 460 Crores is what the project’s anticipated cost is. The facility will also have a 1000-seat auditorium, four conference rooms, eight committee meeting halls, and a separate building for the government pleader and advocate general. On December 15, 2021, the Jharkhand High Court began conducting virtual sessions live on YouTube. The Jharkhand High Court started live broadcasting sessions on YouTube, moving up to sixth in the nation.
History
On March 6, 1972, a circuit bench of the Patna High Court was constituted in Ranchi in accordance with clause 36 of the Patna High Court’s letters patent. The High Court in Patna (Establishment of Permanent Bench at Ranchi) Act 1976 (Act 57 of 1976), which took effect on April 8, 1976, made the circuit bench the Patna High Court’s permanent bench. On November 15, 2000, the Bihar state was reorganized, and this permanent bench ultimately became the Jharkhand High Court.
