A Scheduled Commercial Bank has its headquarters in Karur, Tamil Nadu, India.M. A. Venkatarama Chettiar and Athi Krishna Chettiar created it in 1916. The bank’s main business sectors are retail banking, corporate/wholesale banking, and treasury.

Personal, business, and agricultural banking services, as well as services for NRIs and SMBs, are all offered by KVB. As of March 31, 2020, the bank had 1,650 ATMs and about 800 branches. KVB reported total business of 107,591 crores, consisting of 59,075 crore in deposits and 48,516 crore in advances.

M. A. Venkatarama Chettiar and Athi Krishna Chettiar founded the Karur Vysya Bank Limited, often known as KVB, on July 25, 1916 to capitalize on the hitherto untapped market of traders and farmers in and around Karur, a town in Tamil Nadu. Later, the bank branched out beyond Karur in quest of new commercial prospects, and it built a presence all throughout India.

On September 10, 2016, the bank celebrated its centennial in Chennai with Shri. Pranab Mukherjee, who was the country’s president at the time, serving as the honorary guest.
