National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra

A public technical and research university called the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra is situated in Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. It received accreditation as an Institute of National Importance (INI) in December 2008. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology that the Indian government developed and is in charge of. It offers undergraduate and graduate engineering programs as well as doctoral programs in the humanities, sciences, and engineering.

Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister after gaining independence, wanted to make his country a global leader in science and technology. Consequently, the NIT Act changed the name of REC Kurukshetra to the National Institute of Technology and granted it the status of a Deemed University.
